Kulaura is the largest upazila within the Moulvibazar District, situated in north-eastern Bangladesh. It covers a total land area of 545 square kilometers.
The region is notable for its geography as it partially contains Hakaluki Haor. This area is recognized as the largest marsh wetland in the Sylhet Division and stands as one of the largest wetlands in all of Bangladesh.
