Tungipara is a municipality located in the Tungipara Upazila of the Gopalganj District in Bangladesh. It serves as a significant local administrative center with a recorded population of 29,424 residents.
The area is most notably recognized as the birthplace of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who is considered the founding father of the nation of Bangladesh. The municipality is currently led by Mayor Sheikh Tozammel Haque Tutul.
