Mrkonjić Grad is a town and municipality located in the Republika Srpska entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is situated within the Bosanska Krajina region, positioned geographically between the cities of Banja Luka and Jajce.
As of 2013, the municipality recorded a total population of 16,671 inhabitants. The town of Mrkonjić Grad specifically had a population of 7,915 residents during that same period.
