Zenica is a city located in Bosnia and Herzegovina within the Bosna river valley. It serves as an administrative and economic center for the Zenica-Doboj Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Situated approximately 70 km (43 mi) north of Sarajevo, it is ranked as the fourth-largest city in the nation.

The city is primarily recognized for its industrial significance, specifically the Ironworks Zenica factory, as well as its status as a major university center. According to the 2013 census, the settlement of Zenica has a population of 70,553 residents, while the broader administrative area contains 110,663 citizens.
