Odžak is a town and municipality located in the Posavina Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is situated in the northern region of Bosnia and Herzegovina, positioned near the river Sava and approximately 10 km (6.2 mi) from the border with Croatia.
The name Odžak originates from the Turkish word Ocak, which translates to "fireplace" in Turkish and "chimney" in modern Bosnian. This etymology reflects its historical status as a frontier town during the period of Ottoman rule.
