Bosanski Petrovac is a town and municipality situated in the Una-Sana Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity within the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to data from the 2013 census, the municipality has a total population of 7,328 inhabitants. The town itself accounts for a population of 3,427 residents.
