Sottunga is an island municipality located in Åland, an autonomous territory of Finland. It is characterized by its small population size, ranking as the least populous municipality in both Åland and Finland. As of December 31, 2025, the municipality has a population of 101 residents living across an area of 342.44 square kilometres, the majority of which consists of water.
The municipality is unilingually Swedish, with 96.9% of inhabitants speaking Swedish as their native language. While Sottunga comprises many islands, only three are inhabited: Husö, Finnö, and Storsottunga, the latter of which is commonly referred to as Sottunga. The region contains five villages—Finnö, Husö, Hästö, Mosshaga, and Sottunga—and its highest geographical point is Kasberget.
