Yanchep is a coastal suburb located in Western Australia, situated approximately 56 kilometres (35 mi) north of the Perth CBD. It falls under the jurisdiction of the City of Wanneroo local government area.
Historically, the area began as a small crayfishing settlement before being developed by entrepreneur Alan Bond during the 1970s and 1980s in preparation for the 1987 America's Cup. The geographic boundaries of Yanchep encompass the urban centre, the entirety of Yanchep National Park, and a significant portion of the Gnangara-Moore River State Forest.
