Ucolta

Australia

Ucolta is a locality situated in the Mid North region of South Australia. The area derives its name from a former railway station located on the South Australian Railways' 1067 mm narrow-gauge line, which connected Port Pirie to the New South Wales border.

The site saw significant infrastructure changes in 1970 when the railway line was re-engineered and converted to 1435 mm standard gauge. Following this conversion, the original station infrastructure was demolished, and trains no longer made stops at Ucolta.
