Pittwater is a semi-mature tide dominated drowned valley estuary located in New South Wales, Australia. It is situated approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) north of the Sydney central business district.
The body of water serves as one of the geographical boundaries separating Greater Metropolitan Sydney from the Central Coast region.
