Meidling is the 12th district of Vienna, located in the State of Vienna region in Austria. It is situated just southwest of the city's central districts, south of the River Wien, and west of the Gürtel belt. Geographically, it lies east and southeast of Schönbrunn Palace.
The area is a heavily populated urban district characterized by numerous residential buildings alongside large parks and recreational areas. In terms of sports, the district is represented by the football club FC Dynamo Meidling. Additionally, the district is notable as the birthplace and current residence of former Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz.
