Austria

Margareten is the fifth district of Vienna, located in the State of Vienna region in Austria. It is situated near the city's old town and was officially separated from the fourth district in 1861.

The area serves as a residential urban zone characterized by high population density, with over 25,000 inhabitants per square kilometer. This makes it one of the most densely populated districts within Vienna. The district derives its name from Margaret of Antioch.
