Rafaela is a city located in the central-west region of the Santa Fe Province in Argentina. It serves as the head of the Castellanos Department and stands as the third most populous and significant urban center in the province, following Rosario and the provincial capital, Santa Fe.

The city is known by the nickname "The Pearl of the West," a title attributed to its natural, cultural, and architectural beauty. According to 2022 data from the statistical institute ICEDeL, Rafaela had an estimated population of 111,000 residents.
