San Salvador de Jujuy, commonly known as Jujuy and locally referred to as San Salvador, is the capital and largest city of the Jujuy Province in northwest Argentina. It serves as the seat of the Doctor Manuel Belgrano Department.
The city is situated near the southern end of the Humahuaca Canyon, a geographic location where wooded hills meet the lowlands.
