Comodoro Rivadavia, frequently referred to by its shortened name Comodoro, is a city located in the Patagonian province of Chubut in southern Argentina. It is situated on the San Jorge Gulf, which serves as an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, and lies at the foot of Chenque Hill.
The city holds significant geographical and economic importance as the most prominent urban center of the San Jorge Basin. It is recognized as the largest city within the province of Chubut and stands as the largest city located south of the southern 45th parallel.
