Bahía Blanca is a city located in the Buenos Aires province of Argentina. It is situated at the northwestern end of Blanca Bay, which is part of the Argentine Sea. Locally, residents often refer to the city simply as Bahía.
The city serves as the seat of government for the Bahía Blanca Partido and functions as the primary urban center of the Greater Bahía Blanca metropolitan area. According to the 2022 census, it has a population of 336,574 inhabitants. It ranks as the fourth largest city in the province and the 16th largest city in Argentina by metropolitan population.
