Jang Bogo Station

Antarctica

Jang Bogo Station is a permanent research facility located in Terra Nova Bay, Antarctica. It serves as the second base for South Korea's Antarctic research mission and holds the distinction of being the first Korean station situated on mainland Antarctica.

Completed in February 2014, the station occupies a 4,000-square-metre building featuring three wings. It is one of the larger permanent bases in Antarctica, designed to house 23 people during the winter months and up to 62 people during the summer season.
