It is located on the coast of Cooperation Sea in Princess Elizabeth Land, specifically within the Ingrid Christensen Coast of the Australian Antarctic Territory.

The station is situated in an Antarctic oasis known as the Vestfold Hills, which is a mostly ice-free area. The territory it occupies is claimed by Australia.
