Concordia Research Station is a French–Italian research facility located on the Antarctic Plateau in Antarctica. It was opened in 2005 and is managed by l'Institut polaire français Paul-Émile Victor and Programma Nazionale di Ricerche in Antartide. The station is situated at an elevation of 3,233 meters (10,607 feet) above sea level on a geographical formation known as dôme C.
The facility is positioned deep inland, approximately 1,100 kilometers from the French Dumont D'Urville station and Australia's Casey Station, and 1,200 kilometers from the Italian Zucchelli Station. It is located within the Australian Antarctic Territory, roughly 560 kilometers from Russia's Vostok Station and 1,670 kilometers from the Geographic South Pole.
