Mavinga is a municipality located in Angola. It serves as the capital of Cuando Province, a designation established following the province's creation in 2024. Prior to this administrative change, Mavinga was part of the Cuando Cubango Province and comprised the communes of Mavinga, Cunjamba/Dime, Cutuile, and Luengue.
The municipality is notable for its demographic composition, as it is one of three municipalities in Angola where the inhabitants are predominantly Mbunda. According to 2014 data, the population of the municipality was recorded at 27,196.
