Mussulo

Angola

Mussulo is a peninsula located in the southern region of Luanda Province, Angola. It was formerly part of the municipality of Mussulo before being established as its own independent municipality.

Geologically, the peninsula is a spit formed by sediments from the Cuanza River that were transported northward by the Benguela Current. The landform measures approximately 30 kilometers in length and reaches a maximum width of 3 kilometers, narrowing to less than 100 meters at its southernmost points.
