Bela Vista is one of the most traditional Italian neighborhoods located in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It is situated within the borough of Sé.
The neighborhood has been a diverse residential area since its inception, originally inhabited by free African-Brazilians and a mixture of Native-Brazilians, Blacks, and Portuguese descendants. Over time, it welcomed various European immigrants, including those from Spain, Germany, England, France, Belgium, and Italy.
During the first decades of the twentieth century, the Italian community became the most numerous demographic in the neighborhood among all other immigrant groups.
