Dundo

Angola

Dundo, also known as Dundo-Chitato, is a city located in Angola. It serves as the provincial capital of Lunda Norte province and currently has a population of approximately 240,410.

The settlement was established in the early 20th century as a planned community specifically for diamond mining. While it remains an important urban center with its own airport, the city is currently being superseded by a new development known as New Dundo.
