Quela

Angola

Quela is a town and municipality located in the Malanje Province of Angola. It serves as a local administrative center comprising four distinct communes: Quela, Missão dos Bangalas, Xandele, and Moma.

The municipality is bordered by several neighboring regions, including Caombo and Kunda-dia-Base to the north, Xá-Muteba to the east, Cambundi-Catembo to the south, and Mucari and Cuaba Nzogo to the west. As of 2014, the total population of the municipality was recorded at 20,949 inhabitants, with the majority of the residents engaged in farming.

While the overall municipal population is approximately 20,949, the specific commune of Quela has a larger population of about 32,000 people.
