Galanga is a monotypic genus of cicadas belonging to the family Cicadidae, subfamily Cicadettinae, and tribe Cicadettini. It was formally described in 2012 by Australian entomologist Maxwell Sydney Moulds.
The single species within this genus is native to eastern Australia. Its natural habitat includes subtropical and warm temperate regions of the country.
