Buco Zau

Buco-Zau is a municipality located in the Cabinda Province of Angola. It covers a total area of 1,979 square kilometres (764 sq mi) and is situated within the Maiombe forest.

The region has experienced significant environmental changes since the 2000s due to heavy deforestation by oil and logging companies, which has resulted in conflict with the local population. According to the 2014 census, the municipality had a population of 32,792.
