Catabola is a town and municipality located in the Bié Province of central Angola. It is situated approximately 52.5 kilometres (32.6 mi) by road northeast of Kuito, positioned along the route toward Camacupa.
As of 2014, the municipality recorded a population of 126,631 residents. The area serves as a local administrative and residential center within the central region of the country.
