Erebuni is an ancient city located in the modern-day Republic of Armenia. It is situated on a hill overlooking the Ararat plain, near the current capital of Yerevan.
The site is historically significant as one of the earliest settlements in the region, dating back to the Iron Age. It served as a major fortress and administrative center for the Kingdom of Urartu before being integrated into later civilizations.
