Sisian is a town located in southern Armenia, serving as the administrative center of the Sisian Municipality within the Syunik Province. It is situated at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level and lies on both banks of the Vorotan River.
The town is positioned approximately 217 km southeast of the capital city, Yerevan, and 115 km north of Kapan, the provincial capital. It is located roughly 6 km south of the Yerevan-Meghri highway.
