Fratar is a former municipality located in the Fier County of southwestern Albania. Following the 2015 local government reform, it became a subdivision of the larger municipality of Mallakastër. The administrative seat for the former municipality was situated in Damës.
According to the 2011 census, Fratar had a population of 3,221 residents. It remains a recognized geographical and administrative area within the region of southwestern Albania.
