Fier is a city located in the Republic of Albania. It serves as the seat of both Fier County and Fier Municipality, ranking as the seventh most populous city in the country.
The city is situated on the bank of the Gjanica River within the Myzeqe Plain. It is geographically positioned between the Seman River to the north, the Vjosë River to the south, and the foothills of the Mallakastra Mountains to the southeast. Fier experiences a seasonal Mediterranean climate, which is influenced by its proximity to the Adriatic Sea in the west.
