Berat is a city located in Albania. It serves as the administrative seat for both Berat County and Berat Municipality, ranking as the ninth most populous city in the country.
The city's geographical position places it approximately 70 kilometres south of Tirana, 71 kilometres north of Gjirokastër, and 70 kilometres west of Korçë. It is situated about 33 kilometres east of Fier.
