Renfrew is a town situated in Renfrewshire, located in the west central Lowlands of Scotland. It is positioned approximately 6 miles (10 km) west of Glasgow.

The town serves as the historic county town of Renfrewshire and was granted royal burgh status in 1397. It is historically significant as the "Cradle of the Royal Stewarts" due to its early associations with Scotland's former royal house.
