Nili was a Jewish espionage network that operated between 1915 and 1917 during World War I. The organization assisted the United Kingdom in its efforts against the Ottoman Empire within the Mutasarrifate of Jerusalem.
Based primarily in Zikhron Ya'akov, the network maintained branches in Hadera and other Moshavot. Its name is an acronym for the Hebrew phrase "Netzah Yisrael Lo Yeshaker," which translates to "the Eternal One of Israel will not lie." According to a 1920 memorandum in the British National Archives, the British government also referred to Nili by the code-name "A Organization."
