Charikar, also known as Imam Abu Hanifa or Imam Azam, is a city located in the northeastern region of Afghanistan. It serves as the capital of Parwan Province and falls within the jurisdiction of the Charikar District.

The city has an estimated population of 222,751 people, which includes various ethnic groups from across Afghanistan. The current mayor of the city is Hafiz Raz Mohammad Yasir.
