Tarinkot, also known as Terinkot, is a city located in south-central Afghanistan. It serves as the capital of Uruzgan Province and falls within the jurisdiction of the Tarinkot District.
The city has an estimated population of 127,095 people, the majority of whom are ethnic Pashtuns who speak Pashto. The current mayor of the city is Mawlawi Abdul Rasheed Hidayatullah.
