Qarqin is a town located in the northern part of the Qarqin District within Jowzjan Province, Afghanistan. It serves as the administrative center of the district and is situated at an altitude of 249 meters above sea level.
The town is positioned on the southern bank of the Amu Darya River, near the international border with Turkmenistan. Its geographic coordinates are approximately 37.4128°N 66.0472°E.
