Afghanistan

Faizabad is a city located in the Ayodhya district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is situated on the southern bank of the River Saryu, approximately 6.5 km from Ayodhya City and 130 km east of the state capital, Lucknow.

Historically, Faizabad served as the first capital of the Awadh Kingdom and features several monuments constructed by the Nawabs, including the Tomb of Bahu Begum and Gulab Bari. While it previously served as the headquarters for both the Faizabad district and division, it is now a twin city of Ayodhya administered by the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation.
