Shīnḍanḍ is a town and the administrative center of the Shindand District in the Herat Province of Afghanistan. It is situated at an altitude of 1,066 meters on the banks of the Harut River.
The town is located at coordinates 33.3036°N 62.14°E. A notable landmark in the vicinity is the Shindand Air Base, which is positioned approximately 15 miles northeast of the town center.
