Khan Neshin

Khan Neshin, also known as Khanashin, is a village located in the Reg District of Helmand Province, Afghanistan. It is situated at an altitude of 642 meters and lies approximately 168 km southwest of Lashkargah.

The settlement is positioned near the Helmand River. The area is notable for its geological significance; it has been identified by the USGS as the site of a deposit known as the Khanneshin carbonatite, which contains at least 1 million tons of rare earth element ore.
