Okak is a former community situated on Okak Bay in northern Labrador. It was established in 1776 by Jens Haven, who served as a missionary for the Moravian Church.
The settlement is historically significant due to a devastating epidemic in 1918. During this time, Moravian missionaries introduced an outbreak of Spanish influenza that resulted in the deaths of 204 people out of a total population of 263.
